1,697 Firearms Issued for Personal Safety Audited

COLOMBO (News 1st); The audit of all types of firearms issued for personal safety has now been completed.
According to the Ministry of Defence, legal action will be taken under the Firearms Ordinance No. 33 of 1916 against license holders who did not comply with the issued orders.
A total of 1,697 firearms had been issued to civilians for personal safety.
