COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Land and Irrigation Dr. Susil Ranasinghe has said that the current government has allocated funds for national development in a way no previous government has done before.
"The people have placed their trust in us with high hopes," Dr. Ranasinghe said. "The very first step in meeting those expectations is this first budget. Our goal is to be a government that allocates resources like no one has before, focusing on the country’s development."
He said mentioned that efforts are being made to bring dollars into the country, and that by 2025, the government expects a significant improvement in the economy.
"We are working hard to bring in dollars into the country," he added. "By 2025, we expect to see a significant improvement in the economy, and we're dedicated to ensuring that more money flows into the country."
