COLOMBO (News 1st) - Rumours of a fuel shortage in recent days triggered panic buying and queues at filling stations.

However, according to the views of the general public, the situation seems to have settled, with fuel being distributed smoothly and no current issues at fuel stations.

One individual confirmed, "Right now, fuel is being distributed peacefully, and there’s no issue."

When asked about the panic that spread earlier, they stated, "People were triggered unnecessarily."

Another individual added, "There are no queues. I just arrived and filled up without any problems."

Others echoed this sentiment, mentioning that the situation was normal at the fuel stations.

When questioned about the situation earlier, a member of the public remarked, "Something happened, but it's not something recent. At least now we have fuel, so I'm glad."

Despite the earlier panic, consumers seemed to agree that there is no shortage of fuel at present, and they advised the public not to be swayed by rumors.

"There's no issue with petrol today," one individual concluded. "We came and filled up without any problem. There’s enough petrol. I don’t know what people are saying. They are just making up issues, claiming there’s no petrol."

As of now, fuel stations are operating normally, and there are no queues reported across the island.
