Department of Posts Expands International Courier Service

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Posts has taken steps to expand its international courier service.

Deputy Postmaster General Thusitha Hulangamuwa said that the service, which currently operates to 46 destinations, will be expanded to 59 countries.

Through this service, any legal letter or item can be sent to a person or organization abroad.

The Deputy Postmaster General announced that goods can be handed over for this purpose at 4,000 post and sub-post offices located island-wide.

He said that items and documents sent through this service, which offers the lowest fee under state supervision, can be delivered to their destination within seven days.
