COLOMBO (News 1st); Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence his official visit to Sri Lanka on April 4th.
In anticipation of his arrival, the Sri Lanka Police have announced a special traffic plan to ensure smooth transit and security.
On April 4th, the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be closed from 6 PM to 10 PM. Travelers heading to Katunayake International Airport are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, taking into account these road closures.
Furthermore, on April 5th, several roads around key locations such as Galle Face, Independence Square, and the Ape Gama premises in Battaramulla will experience intermittent closures. Motorists are urged to use alternative routes to minimize inconvenience.
The Sri Lanka Police have requested the public's cooperation and understanding during these times to ensure the safety and success of Prime Minister Modi's visit.
