30 Candidates Arrested for Election Law Violations

COLOMBO (News 1st); In connection with the 2025 local government elections, 30 candidates have been arrested for violating election laws.
These arrests were made between March 3rd and 6:00 AM today.
Additionally, 131 party supporters have been taken into custody during this period. The police have also seized 31 vehicles.
The police have reported receiving 313 complaints related to election law violations.
