COLOMBO (News 1st); The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the establishment of a Presidential Task Force to oversee and accelerate the implementation of Sri Lanka’s national tourism development program.
The task force will operate under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, and will be responsible for guiding strategic decisions aimed at achieving rapid growth and sustainable development in the tourism sector.
The proposal to form the task force was submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, with the objective of coordinating efforts across relevant ministries, institutions, and stakeholders within the tourism industry.
