Postal Workers Withdraw from Overtime Over Cuts to Benefits

COLOMBO(News 1st); Postal workers in several sectors have decided to stop working overtime.

Chinthaka Bandara, the Convener of the Joint Postal Trade Union Association, said this decision was taken in protest against cuts to employee overtime pay and other benefits.

He stated that workers from the Postal Transport Division, the Narahenpita Postal Industrial Division, and the Central Postal Exchange are now withdrawing from overtime duties.
