Associate Of ‘Backhoe Saman’ Arrested With T-81 Rifle

COLOMBO(News 1st); An associate of organized criminal Backhoe Saman, who is currently in remand custody, has been arrested with a T-81 firearm.

Police stated that the 29-year-old suspect was taken into custody in Gageyaya, Embilipitiya.

Along with the firearm, two magazines, 97 rounds of ammunition, and a military camouflage uniform were also seized.

Police further noted that the suspect is believed to be involved in drug trafficking and organized crime.
