Rs. 800 Million in Digital Payments Processed via GovPay in 7 Months

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Digital Economy reports that nearly Rs. 800 million worth of digital payments have been made through the GovPay application over a period of seven months.

So far, a total of 38,378 transactions have been processed through the platform, involving 184 institutions.

The initiative, jointly implemented by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), was launched in February 2025 under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
