Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher Meets President Dissanayake

COLOMBO( News 1st): Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organisations of the Vatican, who arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit, met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake this morning, at the Presidential Secretariat.

According to President's Media Division, during the talks, His Eminence highly appreciated the Government’s efforts to restore normalcy in the country by establishing economic and political stability. 

He further stated that the Vatican would continue to support Sri Lanka’s endeavours to strengthen economic stabilisation as well as to promote national harmony.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressing gratitude, noted that the fifty years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and the Vatican have brought many benefits to the country, not only spiritually, but also by playing a significant role in the advancement of human dignity within the nation.
