COLOMBO (News 1st); Former President Maithripala Sirisena appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) this morning in connection with an inquiry into the leasing of a building for the Ministry of Agriculture during his administration.
The investigation centers around a property in Rajagiriya, reportedly owned by veteran actress Sabeetha Perera, which was leased to house the Agriculture Ministry at a monthly rent of Rs. 2.4 million.
The decision was made while Duminda Dissanayake served as Minister of Agriculture.
