Deadline Extended for Decentralized Budget Projects

COLOMBO (News 1st); The deadline given to complete the projects approved under this year's Decentralized Budget Program has been extended until December 15th.

This extension was announced via a circular issued under Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Affairs Harshana Suriyapperuma. 

According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Finance on January 29th this year, the relevant projects were originally required to be completed by yesterday, the 15th of November. 

The new circular was issued to extend this deadline by one month.

The Ministry of Finance stated that all District Secretaries have been informed regarding the matter.
