Five Suspects Arrested in Connection with Kirinda 'Ice' Drug Haul

COLOMBO (News 1st); Five suspects have been arrested along with a vessel that is suspected to have transported the stock of 'Ice' or crystal methamphetamine found on the Kirinda beach.

The arrests were made along the Tangalle coastline.

The suspects were apprehended during an operation carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau. 

The quantity of 'Ice' recovered from the Kirinda beach recently amounted to 350 kilograms.

The Tissamaharama Magistrate's Court has granted permission to detain and question the arrested suspects for 7 days.
