Charith Out, Dasun In; Pavan Rathnayake Joins Squad for Tri-Nation Series

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Cricket has issued an official media release outlining several key updates ahead of the Tri-Nation T20I Tournament featuring Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe, scheduled to begin on November 20 in Rawalpindi.

According to the announcement, Dasun Shanaka has been appointed captain for the series. Regular captain Charith Asalanka, along with fast bowler Asitha Fernando, will return home after both players fell ill and were deemed unavailable for the tournament. In their absence, Pavan Rathnayake has been added to the squad as a replacement.

Sri Lanka will open the tournament against Zimbabwe on November 20 in Rawalpindi.
