Disciplinary Action Taken Against 500 Police Officers

COLOMBO(News 1st); Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasuriya says disciplinary action has been taken against around 500 police officers over drug-related offences.

He said steps have also been taken to dismiss a group of those officers.

The IGP made these remarks yesterday while attending a graduation ceremony for trainee police officers at the Pahalagama Police Training College.
