COLOMBO(News 1st); Indian Army Chief of Staff General Upendra Dwivedi is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka the day after tomorrow on an official visit.
Indian media reported that the main objective of the visit is to further strengthen security cooperation with allied countries.
During the visit, General Upendra Dwivedi is scheduled to meet and hold discussions with senior military and government officials, including the Army Commander, the Defence Secretary, and the Minister of State for Defence.
The discussions will focus on training cooperation and regional security matters.
General Upendra Dwivedi is scheduled to leave the island next Thursday.
