Dengue Cases Rise To 71,235 As Death Toll Reaches 49

COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Dengue Control Unit states that 1,284 dengue cases have been reported in the country within the last 24 hours.

The unit stated that the number of deaths due to dengue has increased to 49.

The total number of dengue cases reported in the country so far this year is 71,235.

The highest number of cases continues to be reported from the Gampaha and Colombo districts.

The unit stated that 15,856 dengue cases have been reported in the country within the first two weeks of this month alone.

The National Dengue Control Unit mentioned that 175 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions in the island have been designated as high-risk dengue zones.
