Wimal's Brother Remanded Over Alleged State Vehicle Misuse

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sarath Weerawansa, a brother of former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, has been remanded until July 22 after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.

He was arrested in the Gampaha area by officers attached to the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.

Police said the arrest was made in connection with an investigation into the alleged misuse of vehicles belonging to the State Engineering Corporation.
