Two Dead, One Injured in Baddegama Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two people have been killed and another injured in a shooting in Halpethota, Baddegama.

The injured victims were rushed to Elpitiya and Karapitiya hospitals for treatment.

The victims were travelling in a three-wheeler this morning when a group of suspects travelling in a car opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Police said the shooting was carried out using a T-56 assault rifle.
