Police Urge Public to Celebrate Victory Responsibly

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police requested the public to celebrate their victories without causing inconvenience to others.

Deputy Inspector General of Police and Police Media Spokesman, Attorney-at-Law Nihal Thalduwa, stated at a press conference today that no election-related incidents have been reported from any part of the country so far.

The nationwide curfew, which was imposed, was lifted at 12 noon today. 

The curfew was enforced across the country and its territorial waters from 10 PM last night, as per the directives of the President under the Public Security Ordinance.
