59 Complaints of Election Law Violations and Crimes

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police reported receiving 159 complaints related to election law violations and criminal activities concerning the local government elections.

Among these complaints, 32 are related to criminal activities, while 127 pertain to violations of election laws.

In connection with these complaints, 15 candidates and 52 supporters have been arrested, and 12 vehicles have been taken into police custody.
