Three Dead From Accidents in Kurunegala and Nanu Oya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two children have died from a road accident in Kurunegala.

Police said that the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a bus. 

The two children, aged 10 and 16, were traveling with their mother on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

The mother, who sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment at the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.

The bus driver has been arrested in connection with the incident.

In a seperate incident, a man has died after falling from a 60-foot high pole in Nanu Oya.

Police said the accident occurred during a ceremony held at a kovil this morning.

The 63-year-old man was admitted to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
