Young Woman Murdered in Kuruwita; Necklace Stolen

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tragic incident has been reported from the Dewipahala-Dodam Ella area in Kuruwita, where a young woman was brutally murdered and her gold necklace stolen.

According to police sources, the victim was found collapsed on the roadside with severe neck injuries caused by a sharp weapon. She was rushed to the Ratnapura Hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after admission.

The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old woman. 

Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation, and the suspect is currently on the run.
