National 'Praja Shakthi' Program Launched to Eradicate Rural Poverty

COLOMBO (News 1st); The inauguration ceremony of the National ‘Praja Shakthi’ Program aimed at eradicating rural poverty took place today at the Temple trees. 

The event is being held under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The program aims to empower communities and ensure the equitable distribution of economic benefits through three main objectives.

As part of the initiative, Community Development Councils are set to be established in all 14,000 Grama Niladhari divisions across the country.
