One dead, Another Missing in Drowning Tragedies in Opanayake and Panama

COLOMBO(News 1st): One person has died and another remains missing following separate drowning incidents reported from Opanayake and Panama.

Police said a 12-year-old boy from Imbulthenna drowned in a swimming pool at a hotel in Opanayake. He had been on vacation with his parents and was playing water games with friends when the tragedy occurred.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth from Thirukkovil went missing after being swept away while bathing in the sea off Okanda, in Panama.
