Sri Lanka Records 8% Export Growth in First Seven Months of 2025

COLOMBO (News 1st): According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Sri Lanka’s export revenue has grown by 8% during the first seven months of this year.

During his remarks at an event in Battaramulla, the Minister outlined the government’s goal of securing USD 18 billion in export revenue by the end 2025.

He said that despite previous economic challenges, the country is now showing signs of steady recovery, with the export sector seeing consistent growth across several regions, including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

He further noted that the government is actively seeking new international markets to sustain and expand export growth.
