Rs. 50M Property Linked to Kelhelbaddara Padme Frozen

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Illegal Assets Investigation Division has taken action to freeze a property belonging to Kelhelbaddara Padme, a known member of an organized crime syndicate currently in police custody.

Investigations have revealed that the property—a 29-perch land valued at over Rs. 50 million—was allegedly purchased using funds obtained through organized crime and drug trafficking operations.

Further investigations are underway to identify additional properties and assets linked to Padme and his associates.
