Kirinda Drug Bust: Seven Suspects Remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st); Seven suspects were remanded until December 1 after being caught with nearly 350 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) on Kirinda Beach. 

The arrests followed a tip-off received by the Western Province North Crime Division, leading to a high-risk raid executed by the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The suspects were produced before the Tissamaharama Magistrate’s Court and are now under the custody of the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.

Authorities believe the seized drug consignment belongs to Ranuluge Charith Sadakalum, alias Ran Malli, a notorious trafficker currently based in Dubai.
