COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Anil Jayantha, has underscored the importance of collaboration, ethical conduct, and human resource development as the cornerstone of the government’s transformative agenda.

Dr. Jayantha acknowledged that perceptions of the current administration may vary but stressed its “sacred objective of transforming society into a better place.”

“We have embarked on this journey with a novel objective. Cooperation really matters for a good cause,” he said.

The Minister highlighted the challenges posed by egoism, emotion, and personal interests, which often hinder collective progress. He emphasized that accountability, transparency, and cooperation are vital not only for domestic governance but also for addressing global challenges such as climate change and sustainability.

“The answers to big questions today are at the global level. Solutions depend on cooperation, collaboration, ethical conduct, and partnerships,” he noted.
