Armand “Mondo” Duplantis Breaks His Own World Record for the 15th Time in Pole Vault

Armand “Mondo” Duplantis of Sweden, the Pole vault superstar raised his own world record once again on Thursday , clearing 6.31 metres at the Mondo Classic in Uppsala.

The Swedish star, who won Olympic gold at both the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, looked comfortable throughout the competition. He successfully cleared 5.65m, 5.90m, and 6.08m on his first attempts before deciding to push the bar higher in pursuit of another record.

Duplantis then soared over 6.31m, setting his 15th world record in the pole vault.

Norway’s Sondre Guttormsen finished second with a clearance of 6.00m. Meanwhile, Zachary Bradford, Sam Kendricks, and Kurtis Marschall each cleared 5.90m, completing the top five in the competition.
