Crackdown on Fuel Hoarding: Two Nabbed with Illegal Diesel Stocks

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two suspects were arrested in Katunayake and Chilaw for the illegal possession of diesel without a valid license. 

According to police, a raid conducted in Hinatiyana, Katunayake led to the arrest of a 40-year-old resident of Minuwangoda, who was found in possession of 410 liters of diesel. 

In a separate incident, another suspect was apprehended in Mudaliyawala, Chilaw for possessing 55 liters of diesel without a legal permit. 

The individual, aged 73, is a resident of Illappadeniya.
