COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that steps will be taken to issue fuel to vehicles holding both odd and even number plates tomorrow.
The decision was made subject to several conditions.
The Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, D.A. Rajakaruna, said the decision was reached considering tomorrow is a Poya holiday, the need to test the efficiency of the fuel distribution process, and the fact that both odd and even groups are entitled to two days each under the updated fuel quota.
The Chairman further noted that the Odd-Even fuel rationing system will return to its regular implementation starting from 02nd of April.
