Tragic Drowning Incidents Reported In Mahaweli River And Habaraduwa Beach

COLOMBO (News 1st): Three brothers from the same family have gone missing after being swept away while bathing in the Serunuwara area of the Mahaweli River. 

Police stated that the missing brothers, aged 24, 34, and 35, are residents of Mahindapura. The incident occurred while they were bathing in the river along with their father and another brother. A search operation has been launched to locate them.

In a separate incident, two individuals drowned while bathing at the Habaraduwa beach. Police identified the deceased as residents of Katunayake, aged 21 and 26. They had reportedly traveled to the area on a field trip and were swept away while swimming in the sea.
