Dengue Cases Reach 53,159 Nationwide So Far This Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 53,159 dengue cases have been recorded in the country year-to-date.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 19,318 dengue cases have been reported within this month alone, starting from June 1. 

The number of reported dengue-related deaths stands at 31.

Due to the prevailing high-risk situation regarding dengue, Community Physician Specialist Dr. Prashila Samaraweera stated that environmental cleaning activities must be carried out continuously.
