Central Province Governor Sarath Abeykoon Resigns

COLOMBO (News 1st); Professor Sarath Abeykoon has submitted his letter of resignation from the post of Governor of the Central Province to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Speaking to News 1st, Professor Abeykoon said that he had tendered his resignation due to a personal reason.

Professor Sarath Abeykoon is a respected academic who previously served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya before assuming the role of Governor of the Central Province.
