Paddy Marketing Board Purchases 15,000 Metric Tons of Yala Harvest

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Paddy Marketing Board states that approximately 15,000 metric tons of paddy have been purchased so far for this Yala season.

Its Chairman, Manjula Pinnalanda, stated that 90 stores have been opened across the island for paddy purchasing.

He noted that paddy stores have been opened as follows: 10 in Monaragala, 28 in Ampara, 10 in Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi, 6 in Polonnaruwa, and 18 in Anuradhapura.
