CID Moves to Obtain Ex-SriLankan CEO's Phone Records

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today informed Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena that a court order issued to obtain data from the mobile phone of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena, a suspect in the SriLankan Airlines Airbus scandal, had been forwarded to the relevant telecommunications company via email.

The CID made the disclosure when the magisterial inquiry into the matter was taken up once again today.

The prosecution further informed court that the judicial order previously obtained in relation to the mobile phone data had been forwarded to the telephone company in the United States on August 18.
