CIABOC Officials Visit Welikada Prison to Record Namal Rajapaksa’s Statement

COLOMBO (News 1st): Officials from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption visited Welikada Prison today to record a statement from Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody.

The move relates to an alleged Rs. 70 million bribe received from the Krrish company.

Investigations have revealed that the alleged bribe was obtained through an individual named Nimal Perera, who currently resides in Australia.

Janaki Siriwardena , former Executive Officer and Director of Krrish Group, allegedly linked to the case, was recently arrested and remanded after being produced before court.
