India Airlifts 3 Tonnes of Anti-TB Medicines to Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); India has reaffirmed its support for Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector by dispatching a consignment of anti-tuberculosis medicines to Colombo.

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced that approximately three tonnes of anti-tuberculosis medicines were flown to Sri Lanka aboard an Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft.

Sharing the update on X, Jaishankar emphasized India’s continued commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s public health system.

“India remains committed to supporting Sri Lanka's public health system. About 3 tonnes of anti-tuberculosis medicines were dispatched to Colombo today aboard an IAF C130J,” he said.
