Man And Woman Arrested At Bandaranaike International Airport With Over 10Kg Of Kush

COLOMBO (News 1st): A man and a woman were arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport earlier today while attempting to smuggle a significant haul of Kush narcotics into the country. The arrest followed a raid conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau during the early hours of this morning.

Upon inspection, officials recovered five kilograms and two hundred and eighty-six grams of the drug from the male suspect, while the female suspect was found in possession of five kilograms and two hundred and sixty-six grams.

Police have identified both suspects as twenty-two-year-old residents of the Hakmana and Angunakolapelessa. Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the source and intended destination of the seized narcotics.
