Litro and Laugfs Gas Confirm Upcoming Shipments to Ensure April and May Gas Supplies

COLOMBO (News 1st): Litro Gas Lanka LTD has confirmed that a stock of 42,000 metric tons of gas is currently stationed in the Maldives. Litro Chairman Channa Gunawardena says that arrangements are being made to bring this stock to the island as quickly as possible, ensuring that supplies will be sufficient for the month of April.

In addition to the current reserves, the Chairman noted that a vessel carrying a further 33,000 metric tons of gas—required for the month of May—is scheduled to arrive in the country on April 25th.

Meanwhile, Laugfs Gas has also provided an update on their supply chain. Chief Executive Officer Nalinda Kurukulasuriya announced that a ship carrying 7,000 metric tons of gas is expected to reach Sri Lankan shores on April 4th.
