COLOMBO (News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake participated in a review discussion on the 2026 action plan of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme and assessed the progress achieved during the past year.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Secretariat.
During the discussion, extensive focus was placed on how projects proposed under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme for 2026 should be organised in a manner that brings them closer to the public. The President emphasised the need to further popularise the programme not merely as a state‑driven initiative, but through projects that actively involve and resonate with the general public.
The discussion also included a detailed review of the progress made during the previous year, as well as deliberations on ways to engage all relevant stakeholders in order to achieve the targets set for the year ahead.
