Two Killed, Pregnant Woman Injured in A'pura Crash

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tragic road accident near the Isurumuniya Clock Tower Junction in Anuradhapura has claimed the lives of two people after a school bus collided with a motorcycle.

Police said two men and a woman were travelling on the motorcycle at the time of the accident, which occurred this morning.

The two victims who died in the crash have been identified as 27-year-old residents of the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa areas.

Police also confirmed that the woman who sustained injuries in the collision is pregnant.

She is currently receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the school bus has been arrested in connection with the incident.
