Dengue Cases Near 100,000 This Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 98,427 dengue cases have been reported so far this year.
In the past 17 days of this month alone, 2,758 cases have been recorded while 74 dengue-related deaths have been reported to date.
Dr. Kapila Kannangara, Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, stated that mosquito control programs are ongoing in 62 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions where dengue mosquito larvae are prevalent.
