Namal Named Fourth Suspect in Krrish Case

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has been named as the fourth suspect in the Krrish case.

This was revealed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, acting on instructions from the Attorney General.

The case has been filed in connection with an alleged incident in which Rs. 70 million was paid to Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa from an account belonging to the Krrish Group.

In relation to the investigation, a statement was also recorded from the MP, who is currently being held in remand custody, following a court order previously obtained by the Bribery Commission.

In addition, former Krrish director Janaki Siriwardena was arrested recently and was remanded until October 6 on the orders of the court.
