No Power Cuts Today

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Electricity Board has announced that there will be no power cuts today.
CEB spokesperson Dhammika Wimalaratne said that this decision was made following a review of the electricity demand for the day.
He added that efforts to restore the Norochcholai power plant following the power outage are still underway.
CEB spokesperson Dhammika Wimalaratne emphasized that the demand from systems is low as it is a poya day and the required generation capacity is sufficient.
