Meteorology Department Issues Lightning Alert for Several Provinces

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology warns of thunderstorms with strong lightning likely to occur in the Northern, North Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Hambantota district.

These storms may also bring brief periods of strong winds.

The public is advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe from lightning hazards.
