Luxury Jeep Seized Over Alleged Illegal Registration

COLOMBO (News 1st); A luxury Jeep valued at approximately Rs. 30 million has been seized by officers of the Panadura Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit during a raid on a garage in the Ganemulla area, following suspicions of illegal registration and sale.

According to police sources, the vehicle had been registered using fraudulent documentation, allegedly with the assistance of officials from the Department of Motor Traffic. 

Police have confirmed that investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the scheme.
