New whatsapp number to contact IGP directly

COLOMBO (News 1st): A new WhatsApp number has been introduced for the public to directly communicate their concerns to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Accordingly, the contact number 071 859 88 88 is open for the public.
Through this number, the public can send messages, videos, and photos directly to the IGP.
Police officers too may use this number to report their grievances.
However, the Police Headquarters has clarified that voice calls will not be accepted through this number.
